Sweet Home Colorado
As you likely know by now, the blog is on autopilot while I spend Christmas with my in-laws in New Mexico. We're running around trying to see all the sights and celebrate the season, but I'm still trying to keep up with your comments here. One of the states that I'm a whole lot closer to now than when I'm at home is Colorado, and that's the state from which this next share comes. You'll note that it's part two which means I now have to hunt down part one, so wish me luck. So for your listening pleasure in these last few days before Christmas, this is The CSU Chamber Singers & Brass Choir-Christmas At Colorado State University Vol. 2 (The Musical Heritage Society MHS 3295, Stereo, 1975).

Ernie, again another share with "no" comments.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, this is really a good album. Plus the added brass sections.
Maybe, it is just too religious in various ways.
It reminds me of some of the music played during the Middle Ages or whatever. Well, it is Chamber music is it not.
It is rare, but this one stays a while longer on my mp3 player for added listening pleasure.
Oh, I hope if you locate Vol 1, maybe hiding in your stacks, it is as good as this one.
Just wondering...you said you do not organize them. Do you at least start some form of organization once you start pulling them out to share them? There is always a first time to begin.
I shared out a lot of stuff, hard to get comments on everything. This was not my favorite share of the year, to be honest, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. If part one turns up, I'll try to grab it, but I'm not going out of my way.
DeleteAfter I've ripped and shared something, those record usually go onto a shelf by themselves, then when I happen upon another copy I can try to unite it with the one I ripped, but eventually it becomes too hard to find the others. I pulled out a Heino last night and wanted to put it with the others, but I couldn't find them. I know they're there somewhere. Oh, wait, that hasn't been shared yet. Forget I said anything... ;)
...i organize almost everything, over, and over, and...every Christmas, Easter, Spring/Summer, and Halloween decorations in their boxes. They never return to the same old box, because they are put back into new improved organized boxes.
ReplyDeleteI always, end up, with an Odds box. Stuff that did not make it to the new improved boxes. But, for the most part, they have small detailed labels on the boxes for what is inside...until next year, then I start all over again.
This is either a curse or a blessing of being a Capricorn. But, it is also how I make my living, because most people are disorganized in one way or another. I make their lives, business, or whatever managable for them.
That would take all the surprise out of life. :)
