CiJ 2025-Day 20

Time to see what's in the box for day twenty! I bet it's the same old collection of nonsense I've been sharing all month. Yep, looks like all the same old artists that you've been seeing this whole season. Luckily enough, I've almost shared all of some of those same-artist tracks, so you should start to see a higher percentage of new artists in the downloads. Or maybe you won't notice much of a difference at all, I'm never sure of anything around here.  The track of note for today is from the LP shown above, and that's really the most important part because I've been in that hall! It's the Coliseum in St. Petersburg, a city just a little north of me on Tampa Bay. We were there last year for a Christmas market and I remember thinking those big curved wooden beams were kind of cool. So when this LP showed up in the stacks, I was double excited to recognize the spot and to find a Christmas-adjacent song to share with you. You might not enjoy it as much as I did, but so be it.

  2. I like the "Christmas adjacent" songs. They're a palate-cleanser before diving into that 27th version of Jingle Bells on any lengthy Christmas playlist. I also collect Autumn-themed songs, so that Rex MacDonald track is especially appreciated.

  3. Keek - To Ernie, "Christmas-adjacent" means anything south of July.

    1. Well, I try to stay away from all the autumn stuff, though I have been known to give in occasionally. I could fill hard drive with Autumn in New York, I think...
