I visited The Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in DC on my last trip, but I don't think I shared many pictures. I don't know how to photograph it. It's so big, yet so understated. It's just a list of names on a black stone wall, but it's so much more than that.
Maybe these smaller pictures will be a little easier on the eyes. They don't show you anybody specific, I'm not sure if I know any of the names on here. Vietnam was before my time, but I'm sure there's somebody somewhere who knows somebody, etc, etc, etc.
The names just go on and on, seeming to last forever.
And there's the whole thing, a long black scar on the north side of the Mall.
