Christmas Talk
Another performer that we lost in 2006 was Mike Douglas. Mike recorded two Christmas LPs in his lifetime, this one, and a second on the Word label, which I have yet to find. I shared this out back in August not long after his death, and I offer it to you again now. Please download and enjoy Mike Douglas-My Kind Of Christmas (Epic BN 26322, 1967).
You know, the catalog number on this one is pretty close to the number on the Eddie Layton one I shared with you earlier. So that Layton is probably from the same year, or maybe a year earlier. That sounds about right.
Yes, I have a premium account now, but only for three months. I hope to gather enough points during the holiday season to extend that for at least another month, but beyond that, I don't know. I hate to spend money so that you folks can download free music. Somehow that doesn't seem right. But if I charge money, or ask for donations, then I feel like a bootlegger. But we'll see how things go. Glad you're enjoying the music.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Mike Douglas and have been looking for this album for years, it is such a pleasure to be able hear it at last. Thank you so much for sharing, my Christmas listening will be enhanced this year with this album.
ReplyDeleteThanks fr the kind words, Michael. Am glad you were able to download and enjoy this album.
ReplyDeleteErnie,
ReplyDeleteI need to download this for a VERY important reason. My childhood memories include my Dad playing Touch Hands on Christmas Morning as we would gather around the Christmas tree to open gifts. We even played it as we decorated the tree. This past year my father passed away unexpectedly (see www.pennartists.com/dad.htm) and I want to keep a tradition going. HOWEVER the LP is pretty old and I would like to download. I have searched EVERYWHERE to no avail. Please help me.....
The download is still available. Click the name of the LP above and follow the directions.
