Ye Olde Organ

I don't think I've given you a remaster here in a while, so this is a new stereo version of something I was very excited to share a few years ago. Wasn't sure if it even really existed in stereo, but I found a copy during a very fruitful visit to Banana's Records in St. Pete earlier this season. I think it was the same day I found three new Salvation Army records that I shared with you on an earlier Saturday between Christmas and New Year's. I'm afraid I don't have enough records left in the pile at this point to give you a Super Saturday like I've been doing, you'll have to make do with just this one. But trust me when I say this is a rare one. Is this the first year of the UA label? I think maybe it is. They went on to great things, but this is where it all began. This is Reginald Foort-Christmas In Your Heart (United Artists UAS 5057, Stereo, 1959). It's a fun one.

  1. I might have missed this the first time around, but I love an organ Christmas album - especially when it’s in StereO!

  2. This could be the first year of UA's existence. The label design is totally new to me.

    1. Discogs says 58, but i see a few entries that say 57. So 59 is still pretty early...
