Have you ever heard Vincent Lopez's recording of a lost Christmas classic, "Cute As Christmas." It's a gas and I could share in a lo-res file. Also, have you come across a decent remaster of Chick Bulloch's "Winter Wonderland"? The one that everyone copies from YouTube is atrocious.
Just wanted to say have been a LOOOooooooOoOong time follower......Happy Holidays from out here in WIS. Many wonderful things have I heard from your endless collection. My parents were big on having a variety of "festivous" LPs to spin on the occasion. (No, unfortunately nothing I haven't already seen on the blog) There's something about a warm beverage, a large picture window with frost on the fringes, with a view of nature outside...while the snow dances in the air, and the room filled with many an old seasonal vinyl LP. Would like to thank you for that....and the fond memories it always seems to conjure up, while reminiscing.
For the curious, the Vincent Lopez Christmas 78 with Cute As Christmas on it is available over at the Internet Archive. Not the greatest rip, but not the worst, either. Flip side is something about Mr. Kringle. Something else I need to hunt for.
Ernie's Christmas record want list. There might be something in that stack of Christmas records you want to throw out that I need. Actually, there's a lot more that I need that I don't know about, so send 'em all to me (especially singles)! (Revised 16 Jan 2021)

ReplyDeleteIt's Hello Mr. Kringle, which a number of bands cut. Here is the Frankie Masters version from 1939, which I happened to have on hand:
