Lundstrom 2

As fate would have it, I found a second Christmas LP from The Lundstroms in the archives, so I had to record it.  I'm always one for complete sets.  So if you downloaded the first one, you have to download this second one.  There are probably more, but they'll have to wait until I find them.  This is The Lundstroms-Colorado Christmas (Tempo/Message R-7230, Stereo).  I wonder if I could get a collection of Christmas songs featuring all 50 states?  Hmmm, I can think of quite a few just off the top of my head...

1. Jesus Christ Is Born
2. Colorado Christmas
3. Beauty Of The Snow
4. I Can Hardly Wait Till Christmas
5. Now I'm Not Lonely At Christmas
6. Why Isn't Everybody Singing Allelu
7. Sing Along Christmas
8. Christmas Medley
9. Christy's Christmas Prayer
10. I Needed A Savior To Care
11. Our Love Is Like The Mountains

  1. Hi Ernie,

So glad U'r all better. Just want to say Thank U for a wonderful holiday season over the past month. I was a new listener this year, but truly appreciate the joy and spirit that comes through your site - I'm sure I'll be a fan 4 many years to come. Happy 2011 (ps thanx for Dino Martinelli, I'm sure my story is not unique, but U finished out my childhood collection, words cannot describe - thanx!) W PA Gal

  2. There is at least one more. My family were big Lundstrom fans when I was growing up. I see from the track listings of the ones you've posted that the classic song "I'm Going Hunting For a Great Big Bear" isn't included. I'll have to get that album to you somehow, if I can find it. The internet must not be deprived of the classic lyric: "Bear, you're gonna wish you were a kangaroo, 'cuz you don't know what I'll do."

Childish antics note: There was nothing more hilarious to my 10-year-old self than singing "I Can Hardly Wait Till Christmas", substituting "P" for the initial letters of every word. "Pie pan pardly pait pill Piss-Piss, pound puh piss-piss pee." It's even more hilarious toward the end.

  3. I tried, I honestly did...the Lundstroms' big two ended up in the bit bin, I'm afraid. I used to be a fan of Lowell; he's the only guy I know that actually wrote a song about hell; well, I suppose there's AC/DC... Anyway, these are interesting recordings, to say the least. Thanks for posting!
