September Is Here, Part 1
Here it is the fourth day of September already, and I haven't put up any of the monthly calendar pages yet. I'm so lazy. The shot above is the Florida picture for the month, and shows you a windblown great blue heron. I shot this guy an hour or so before sunset in front of the St. Pete Pier. On the right side of that water you see is the Albert Whitted Airport, which really isn't an important part of the story, I just thought I'd mention it. The shot below, from the Ohio set, is the Peter B. Lewis Building on the campus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. It's quite the sight to behold in person. There's very few square corners in the whole thing. I've visited it twice, and I've always been nervous about going inside. The architect, in case it isn't obvious, was perhaps the only architect ever featured in an episode of The Simpsons, Frank Gehry. Well, I suppose they mentioned Frank Lloyd Wright once, but that was strictly a mention.
PS-I signed up for the mailing list they're forming for my 20th high school reunion. Boy, do I feel old.
Yes, you do.
ReplyDeleteI share your reservations about going into the Peter B. Lewis Building. I'd be afraid of opening the wrong door and falling down that slide.
I think it's titled "Silo After Tornado."
