Yesterday

I just got back from a day trip to the East coast of Florida. Wanna guess why? More pictures tomorrow, err, I mean later today, after I've slept for a few hours...

  1. Wow. I anxiously wait for more of these. It was a beautiful time of day for a launch, and you have a wonderful skill for catching the lighting that makes Florida so gorgeous.

  2. Great shot. Love the contrast between the smoke and the trees.

  4. Lovely pictures, but a lot of pollution.

  5. Yeah, I suppose there is a bit of pollution going on, but not as much as you might think. The white exhaust on the ground is actually steam, not smoke. The stuff coming out of the SRBs is bad, though. But the whole NASA facility is in the middle of a wildlife refuge and national park. And I'd have to think that the technologies we've gotten from the space program more than offset the environmental damage caused by spaceshots.
