Hi-Fi!
I've been skipping out on the remasters lately, since I've only got so much time left, but I wanted to throw something up tonight while I'm waiting on some files to transfer. I really should find a faster interface than USB... Anyhow, this is a remaster of an old share from 2007, featuring some organ music in hi-fi. Gotta love anything that advertises it's hi-fi-ness. There are some nice arrangements on this piece of red vinyl, some slow and boring, but some nice and exciting! I think this is a share that you'll really enjoy, and it sounds great! This is Ramona Gerhard At The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ-Christmas In Hi-Fi (Soma MG 1202 (Red Vinyl), Mono).

And I've even got two different covers this time. The one below is a new scan of the one I originally shared, but I went with the other one this time, just because it's different.

Good thing I bought that USB hard drive b4 Thanksgiving. Another nice share for us. Thanks again Ernie.
ReplyDeleteRamona Gerhard's album is how I discovered your site several years ago. I have this on vinyl, don't know how to rip, and hoped it would be online. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Ernie. Thank you for all the work, the time and energy that you put into this special time for us. BTW - I have converted most things to USB 3 and seems (note I said "seems")a bunch faster. I only had a couple of things that needed to be changed so it did not break the bank. My external drive box was the one thing I wanted to convert most so that was number one. Happy New Year!1529 hinpos
ReplyDeleteI also have the vinyl of this with the "first" cover. However, it's really scratchy, and my old DAK software is no good anymore. Will snag this quick-like. Thanks Ernie, and Merry Christmas.

Thank you Ernie for all the great Christmas music! I own several of the albums that you have re-mastered and made sound great! I especially like all the great organ music you have posted this year. There is one you have missed out on. I have owned several copies hoping to get a good recording. Herman Voss "Yuletide Favorites" is one of the best I have ever heard.
ReplyDeleteErnie, Many thanks for all your shares. Imagine it's a ton of work, but sure enjoy the music... Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteErnie:
ReplyDeleteTwo Ramona Gerhard 45s -- one bank promo, one Soma -- are here:
http://somelocalloser.blogspot.com/2012/12/ramona-gerhard.html
The bank promo is red wax with a picture sleeve.
Label and ps scans are posted.
Mp3s are DivShare.
PS - The bank promo 45 has "O Holy Night" which does not appear to be from the LP. So the B side, "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers," might be a different recording.
ReplyDeletewhat is the path to getting the Ramona Gerhard Christmas album? I loved that album as a kid and still do today.
ReplyDeleteYou can find a download link for the record (and a single!) At this later post:
