Nutcracker In July 06
If the stats on the blog are correct, then this is the 5000th post I've ever made. It's taken what, 15 years? But it's been a lot of fun, I hope you've enjoyed the ride. It's not quite the same place it was at the beginning, but it's still here, and still going. And today it's going with another version of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, this time in three parts, meaning all the divertisments have been lumped into one. Well, something like that. Anyhow, this is Amsterdam National Symphony Orchestra-Peter Haas, Conductor from Tchaikovsky-Nutcracker Suite, Opus 71A, Rossini-Overture To William Tell; The Siege Of Corinth Overture (Camelot CMT 107, Mono). Enjoy!
Five THOUSAND? That's incredible! I just checked and I will reach ONE thousand in 20 posts. Heartiest congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteMinor note - the atttribution of this Nutcracker performance is almost certainly a pseudonymn.
Some days I post a lot of stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteI think most of these cheapo versions are pseudonyms. But what do I know? :)
I gave your achievement a plug over at the blog.
ReplyDeleteYou're the man, Buster! Thank you for all your support!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 5,000th post! Incredible.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 5k!
ReplyDeleteThe blog is like the rest of us, still
here, a little different, and still going.
keep on keeping on.
and thanks, as always
Thank you all. I didn't figure 5000 was a big deal. Do this long enough, and you'll eventually get to some big numbers. But when I stop and think about all the blogs that aren't out there anymore, and all the stuff that's been forgotten since they closed up shop, that kinda makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 5,000, Ernie. That's a lot of posts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Christmas treats so far...looking forward to the rest of the month.
