So Many Vultures!

I was out at Myakka River State Park last night, and I just couldn't believe how many vultures there were in the air out there. I knew they had lots of vultures, and I've seen lots of them before, but not like this. There were a thousand or more of them in the air at any given time. Keep in mind I shot these with a telephoto lens, not a wide angle. A wide angle lens would have shown birds from one corner of the sky to the other.

Great images!

There must have been one huge carcass in the area. Rodan? Godzilla? Nessie?

You might check the local obits to see if any monsters show up....

It is not recommended practice to walk around with meat in your pockets. ;-)
