Back In The Pokey

Guess who's back in the slammer? That's right, it's our favorite car thief. She's lost 35 pounds and perhaps some of her teeth, but it's still her. Oh, and her hair has changed color. Yes, this is the one who stole my car last year, and still calls my office and yells about how we took her car and her stuff after the death of her estranged husband. We eventually had those calls automatically routed to a voice mail box. It took about 5 days for that box to fill up with 99 messages. About once a month I'd delete a few of them, and a week later it would be full again. I'd wait two months, and she'd still fill it up again when I emptied it. I'm going to empty it now that I know she's in jail to see if maybe she's calling us from the pokey. I should share some of those messages with you...

if she calls from jail, that may be an extra offense. if she does, make sure to talk to the prosecutors about it.

I think they let her out of jail today. Our secretary was called and asked to attend, then they changed the time of the hearing so she missed it.

On a serious note:

Persistently, repeatedly, calling you is a crime in and of itself. It's harassment/stalking. Try to get a Protection from Harassment order (or whatever they are called where you are), save the messages for evidence in court.

If the court grants the order and she calls you again, she faces yet another criminal charge: Violation of a Protection Order.

This kind of stuff needs to be taken seriously. It often escalates.

Take care!

I wonder how many marriage proposals she'll receive?

Seriously though, I agree with CrimsonCrow who said you need to take this seriously.

This woman is a psycho and capable of any and everything.
