Tuna Fish
Here's another one of those records where i really have little to no idea what's going on. I think Tuna De Cayey is a band, but it may also be a type of band. And Uni-Coop is some type of store maybe, or an exchange, or a buying club? I'm not sure, I can't keep it straight. The only mention I see of this LP on the internet is a copy for sale at eBay. No idea how I stumbled onto a copy, but I could have had this thing for decades, I dunno. It's not your usual Christmas music, but you might enjoy it if you give it a chance. This is Tuna De Cayey-Navidades Con Uni-Coop (Producciones Alvarez-Miranda (Puerto Rico) No Number, Stereo).

Ernie, you normally end your sharing January 6. But then you kept going. I thought you will end by February 2 (Candlemas). But no, you still kept going. It is February 17 already and you don't seem to be stopping. This is too good to be true. Thank you so much for your generosity. You make our Christmas merrier. Again, thank you.

Thanks for the note! I recorded a lot of Christmas albums last year, and didn't have enough time to get them all prepped for sharing. So I'm still working my way through that giant pile of data. Not sure how much longer it will go, but we're not done yet. :)
DeleteNot done yet?! Wow. The commercial of the bunny that keeps on going comes to my mind. :) All the best, Ernie.

We'll see if I'm that industrious. :)
DeleteErnie, this may most likely be the history here... https://liga.coop/educacion-cooperativista/historia-del-cooperativismo/
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. So UniCoop was basically a chain of grocery stores.
DeleteNow find me some info about the artist(s). :)
Anon - I bet you're right.
ReplyDeleteErnie - Unusual item!
I don't find these records, they find me.
DeleteThis is great, Ernie :)
ReplyDeleteI worked today; then went for Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper; then to a meeting; and then came home... my wife and I shovelled snow for 2 hrs... now, resting, and getting ready for bed. Great, to have another album to download. Again, thank you, Ernie :)
Plus, Happy "Chinese" Lunar New Years, to you all :)
DeleteYou celebrate an awful lot of holidays. Do you have one of those calendars that tells you what every single day is? Happy Ice Cream Sundae Day! Happy Pancake Topping Day! The list is endless..
DeleteI don't have a calendar, but I do celebrate what is interesting or special to my wife or I. I grew up with good friends, that were Chinese. They had a "Chinese and Western Cuisine" in our village, when I was growing up. Also, the village would have Pancake Supper once a year, on Shrove Tuesday, in our local Agriculture Hall... not in a church like many communities. So those both carry on from my childhood.
DeleteIt's too many holidays for me to keep track of, but more power to ya if you can keep up with them all. Hope you're not on a diet.
DeleteAlso, Ernie. The Coop logo reminds of what the City of Calgary, Alberta (Home of the World Famous "Stampede") Coop used to look like.
DeleteI'm not sure if there are any unique designs left in the world. Everything is reminiscent of something.
