Christmas, 2015

I know, I know, you want me to share such-and-such with you from 8 years ago because you grew up with it or your mom liked it or whatever.  OK, I get it, I appreciate it, but I can't reshare everything or keep the old shares up, it's just too much work.  And too many shares are going to draw the attention of someone who might not like Christmas sharing.  But like last year, maybe I can throw up something now and then just to keep the home fires burning.  And the first interesting request of the year came in almost a month ago for something I hadn't thought of in a long time...
This is Tammy, one of the many dolls that used to compete for shelf space with Barbie and I'm sure many other forgotten dolls of the sixties.  And sure enough, she put out a Christmas album.  For slightly more info, you can go and read what I wrote about her back in 2010, or you can just download Tammy-Merry Christmas With Tammy (Little World Records (Ideal Toy Corp., Midnight Music) LW-906, Mono, 1965).

    Welcome back, Ernie! Hope your holidays will be great. Thanks for Tammy and Heidi - did the record companies lease generic music for these LPs or newly produce the sides themselves, do you know? I can't imagine they went to much expense.

    Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Nice to see your giving us some more Christmas cheer this year. Not to date myself but my little sister had a Tammi doll when we were growing up in South Dakota.

    LOL!I have to say that these Tammy and Heidi records are about the cheesiest kids records I think I ever heard, but I have to have them anyway, and think I still do from previous shares. Are these new remasters? Thanks so much for making a number of Christmas seasons just a bit brighter.

    The main reason I was hoping to hear the Weird Al messages is that I actually have one myself on an old Dr. Demento tape- I wanted to know if it was at all unique!

    Maybe you will know the song I am looking for. It was played on suriusxm holiday traditions last year and it was a rare one I had never heard, the theme was similar to the Santa Baby song by Eartha Kitt but was definitely older. Any ideas? Thanks for you r blog.
