That Santa on the cover doesn't sound like he's too happy about the whole thing. Jolly Old St. Nick he's not.
ReplyDeleteIf they used your picture to sell an accordion Christmas record, you wouldn't be too happy either.
DeleteSunburned Old St Nicholas
ReplyDeleteThe nose on his face was as red as a cherry... Wait, that's not how it goes...
DeleteIt's just like when General Zod and friends were flying through the sky trapped in a mirror.
ReplyDeleteLaurie - I think you have been listening to too many Rainbow Brite Christmas records.
DeleteNerd alert!! (But I knew exactly what you meant...)
DeleteHa! Good one, Laurie!
DeleteI've had this one on tape since I was a kid. One of my top favorite obscure Christmas albums.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I live to hear! :)
DeleteI predict I will enjoy this squeeze box edition. -Organ
ReplyDeleteBut it's not an organ record. You might need to change your name.
DeleteHa! I do own an accordion though. It's very beautiful, lavender pearl, with purple encrusted letters that spell RICHARD, it's huge and heavy. I have a modified a hi-lo safety harness I use to pick it up and play it. Can I play though? Nope. But I love it.

By the way, Excellent album! Like a friendlier version of The City of Lost Children soundtrack. -Organ
DeleteThere's just something recursive about an accordion drawn on an accordion. Kinda like seeing a mirror in a mirror in a mirror, ad infinitum.
ReplyDeleteI used to love going to the barber shop where they had the mirrors across from each other.
DeleteThis would be the kind of Christmas record that would be in Jon Arbuckle's collection. The only accordion music I listen to during the holidays is Morty Nevins' work on the Three Suns Christmas albums.
ReplyDeleteThey're not that bad. :)
