I love everything about this. I have a polka record from some Christmas-related attraction in Wisconsin or thereabouts. I also love that she goes by Mrs. Alvin Davis.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure if Alvin was her name or her husbands, seemed sort of unisex. But it's probably her husband. And I feel like I shared out a polka record like that a couple years ago, something to do with Frankenmuth...
DeleteYes, that's the one!

DeleteLove the cover.
ReplyDeleteI believe that's actually the place this record was recorded. Looks like the pictures that Google brings up in a search. Good to know such places still exist.
DeleteHi Ernie,
ReplyDeleteI second the comments, this record was really nice. Soothing to listen to when you have stressful traveling to do.
Anyway, this artist must come from a bygone age that she uses her husbands name and not her own. It sounds so 2nd class to me.
Glad you liked it. And that's the way they did it back in the day, women took their husband's name, and often not just their last name. Sometimes you have to remember stuff like this to see how far we've come.
