Fred MacMurray was one of those underrated stars who was always welcome and enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteDidn't he get hooked up with Disney at some point, too? I have the tickling of a memory but I can't pull it up...
DeleteOh yes, the original "Flubber" and all that.
DeleteOh, yeah, that was Disney. My brain has the day off today.
DeleteFred MacMurray was one of my favorites :)
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time thinking of anything else he did outside of My Three Sons and Flubber. Surely he was working outside of that. I need to look him up.
DeleteYou had me at Fred MacMurray.
ReplyDeleteHe had three sons...
DeleteErnie, this is one of the best up to this point.
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for Junie to appear. Junie was his wife. June Haver, left Fox Studios to become a Nun, left the convent and returned to Fox Studios, left Fox Studios to marry Fred. Well something like this. She then basically semi-retired from active acting. A pity as from the few films I have seen her in, she was like a sweet Betty Grable type.
Anyway, I hope at some point, they will have another album similar to this narrated one.
They're hitting their stride here. Remember, this is based off of a radio program and was only slowly getting formatted more for a listen-at-home-over-and-over-again experience. So it keeps getting better as the years go on. And no sign of Junie...
