Super Saturday Salvation 23

OK, this is the end of our Super Saturday Salvation Army celebration today. The very last record I have for you is only sort of tangentially related to The Salvation Army in that they were a benefactor of the release. I'm sure I put this in the Salvation Army pile years ago because I saw that logo, then didn't think anything more about it for years until I pulled it out this season with all the rest of them. I believe the main sponsor of this record was a grocery store in Mississippi called Jitney Jungle. Interesting name for a grocery store, but whatever gets the customers in the door. Lots of local artists here, but I think Dorothy Moore was a known name in certain blues circles. I believe her contribution here is unique in her catalog, so enjoy that.       I think the Super Saturdays get less and less as the season progresses. The first one was the biggest, this one is number two, next week is #3, then they really drop off, at least in volume. I think the records are still just as good. :)

    Haha Ernie, the wreath is off center. This was to let the buyer know this collection was off center.
    While it was a pleasant listen, they did have to include 2 off key tracks. Okay, they are singing for the Lord, but please do not put them down on tape.
    Then this track came on. Interesting duet. I had to pull my mp3 player out as soon as I got up on the station platform to see who was singing. What I read was: Jackson College Of Mistresses. WT? was this groups name? Oh, it was: Jackson College Of Ministries.
    Oh well...
