And then once you've downloaded the mono version, here's the stereo version. It may be a little shorter, but it's got music for both your ears. Enjoy Dick Leibert-Christmas At Radio City (Westminster WST 15017, Stereo, 1959).2. O Tannenbaum

At least the cover photo of the stereo version is better than the mono one.
ReplyDeleteThat's just my poor photoshop skills, they should be very similar.
DeleteThanks Ernie, I've been waiting a long time for the stereo version! Discogs says it was released in October 1958, and that makes sense because Leibert's RCA Radio City Music Hall Christmas album was issued in 1958, and I doubt RCA would have let Leibert go back and record a Westminster Christmas stereo album in 1959.
ReplyDeleteSounds about right to me.
DeleteGood memories of visiting the tree (the other decorations were pretty neat too) at Rockefeller Center in Midtown. Avoiding the tree lighting ritual was also a wise memory. Thanks for uploading both versions.
ReplyDeleteI loved visiting the tree, but I don't miss those crowds. I'll be back someday.
DeleteWho knew? I love discovering stuff like this. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteStuff like this complicates my life. :(
