Lemme play it and see. Nope, no sign of a hum. No sound of one, either. Perhaps you just got a bum pressing.

Actually, I do have a tenth anniversary coming up. November will be ten years since I was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. Not the happiest of anniversaries, but I hope to mention something on the blog about it. I think I still have my wristband from the hospital around here somewhere. That was the first time I'd ever been admitted to a hospital.Erniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02589056878160272070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-25748040311470229822007-08-15T19:28:00.000-04:002007-08-15T19:28:00.000-04:00So, when are you going to do your tenth-anniversar...So, when are you going to do your tenth-anniversary post?

I fixed my "1997" error, by the way. I used the old strike(TEXT)/strike bit. I am the HTML Kid.

I featured "Bobsled," too--either last Christmas or the one before. Great LP, but there's this annoying hum throughout. I'm either hearing idler wheel noise from my Dual (and its ten-lb. turntable platter), or else the Mercury engineer stuck the mike next to a coffee maker, which would mean it's in the disc itself. We'll never know.

Some things are lost to Time. Others, to Newsweek.

LeeLee Hartsfeldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15378950382643333359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-43912773145615322012007-08-15T19:22:00.000-04:002007-08-15T19:22:00.000-04:00Thanks for the comment. All of the Christmasw in July stuff is single tracks from LPs, and I almost always only record the one track. Sorry I can't help you with that one.Erniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02589056878160272070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-28781303346274154712007-08-15T19:11:00.000-04:002007-08-15T19:11:00.000-04:00I can't stop listening to "Bobsled" and would love...I can't stop listening to "Bobsled" and would love to hear the rest of the following album. (It doesn't seem to be available on other blogs.)

Strings Afire - Hermann Clebanoff

Are you willing or able to post this album in its entirety? Thanks for your consideration.

And, thanks so much for all your posts, especially the greater than great Christmas music!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
