And a reversible needle for playing 78s and everything else.Geordiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08888731047714302447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-53972799001902720162018-12-01T03:26:42.139-05:002018-12-01T03:26:42.139-05:00I'm glad this is back. My dad listened to his New Testament Audio Book with it. GM tried to popularize 7-inch 16 PRM records in its cars in the mid-50s with the Highway Hi-Fi system. Records for the system were manufactured exclusively by Columbia Special Products, and could hold roughly 45 minutes of music or an hour of speech per side.

Thanks for sharing this, Ernie. It has made for a really enjoyable evening of listening.Mark Spencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04933331252783562406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-52833850560447327362018-11-29T19:55:22.584-05:002018-11-29T19:55:22.584-05:00Oooh, stereo Christmasland! Most of the records I see that spin at that speed are spoken word sermons or lectures, and certain kiddie records. The fidelity is lower, which isn't too much of a problem for spoken word stuff. This album is certainly the exception.Erniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02589056878160272070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-69702930339314748682018-11-29T18:59:03.447-05:002018-11-29T18:59:03.447-05:00Off hand, I don't think I've ever seen a 1...Off hand, I don't think I've ever seen a 16 2/3 rpm record in the wild, but you seem to have one with two different covers. Plus another one, if I read you right.

Were these used for dance classes or something?Busterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08918896767504950096noreply@blogger.com
