It is a lovely cover! For Christmas, I like green vinyl. It's more unusual. But red is great, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a nice surprise when you pull it out unexpectedly. I wish there were more blue records though
DeleteI just saw a rainbow colored Christmas 45 on eBay recently - I think the A side was a song by the Rainbows and the flip was a Christmas song: the Mello Moods. I don't specifically seek out the colorful vinyl but I'm always happy to see it!
ReplyDeleteI like when it's a surprise. :)
DeleteErnie, this may be a "religious" label, but it was well respected (at it's time) amongst churches. It was very popular like Word Records has been in our modern age. Lorin Whitney's organ music was heard on CBS Radio, and NBC. He was very well known in church circles. A beautiful find :)
ReplyDeleteReligious labels are just fine as long as they do the work to make a good product. Too many cheap labels out there pushing out sub-standard product just to make a buck off the faithful. I'm a cynic, what can I say?
