Sammy Kaye Half Day-Part Four

I brought you all of my LP releases by Sammy Kaye already today, and all I've got left is a couple of tracks from this RCA release. These predate all the others, but they're still songs you've heard before. You can read more about them on my original post from 2006. Or you can skip any explanation at all and download just the two Christmas tracks from Year 'Round Favorites With Sammy Kaye And His Orchestra (RCA Victor WP 184, 3x7", Mono, 1949).

5. White Christmas
6. Winter Wonderland

  1. Thanks for making 60 French Girls available. I had Pour Noel on a 45 when I was young and have been looking everywhere for it. You seem to have a lot of old Christmas music. Do you recall a version of "When Was Jesus Born/Last Month of the Year" that was very upbeat - not gospelly. I don't know the group for sure, but they sounded kind of like the New Christy Minstrels

  2. What Month Was Jesus Born In? is by Anita Kerr. Try Amazon.

    Thanks for the note!

  4. I found it on Amazon, but they don't have any clips to listen to. Darn! You don't happen to have it, do you? The album is "Spend the Holiday With Me".

  5. I've got it, but it's off-limits for sharing. You used to be able to buy it straight from Ms. Kerr's website, but that looks to no longer be the case. Keep an eye out, I'm sure you'll find a copy somewhere.

  6. Darn! Is it also off-limits to share a clip of it? I'm just really curious to see if it's the version I've been looking for.
