Maybe y'all just like the instrumentals. :)Erniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02589056878160272070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-6991462031398411682020-12-12T12:16:46.890-05:002020-12-12T12:16:46.890-05:00Thanks, Ernie for all your hard work this year. This is a wonderful potpourri.

By the way, a post dedicated to greatest secular holiday song between "Jingle Bells" and "White Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," is a great idea. The Internet Archive is loaded with them. One of the best is Fred Waring's 1948 recording for Decca (his later recordings suck). The rarest is Chick Bullock's, which IA has in a terrible transfer. I've been searching for a decent-sounding version for years. In any case, the song was as big as "White Christmas." Bert Ambrose, Richard Himber, Ted Weems, Harry Leader, Freddy Martin are just a few who recorded this wonderful song in 1934 when it was written. The version you supplied to great. Please give this idea some thought. Meanwhile, thanks aplenty.David Federmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08436365678466879799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11600065.post-76682315324071175282020-12-11T16:32:52.435-05:002020-12-11T16:32:52.435-05:00Many of my holiday favorites are instrumental, so ...Many of my holiday favorites are instrumental, so I'm excited for this second batch. And I'm trying to avoid putting too many of the same title in any given share, though I did do an all-Jingle Bells one a few days ago.
