Lorne Greene, eh? Impressive.
ReplyDeleteJess Thomas was a well-known Wagnerian tenor.
Greene did a surprising amount of Christmas music, from the Bonanza Christmas album to a solo effort, a nonLP single, some radio shows and now this.
DeleteOh yeah, I do have that Bonanza Christmas LP!
DeleteLorne Greene was one of my favourites - being a Canadian :)
DeleteHim and William Shatner, too!
DeleteBuster, I read that as Wagnerian terror. Depending on one's taste in music, that could be an accurate statement.
DeleteWhether you like it or not, most music by Wagner can be accurately described as a terror. :)
DeleteWell Ernie,
ReplyDeleteAs you mentioned these releases are getting better and better as the years advance. The story Lorne reads is very thoughtful.
But who Lorne really is, I have only heard of him. I guess to the generation he entertained he was important. I really only know him from that song Ringo? That is good enough for me I guess.
So you don't know him from Ponderosa or Battlestar Galactica? You need to spend some time at YouTube and catch up!
