Super Saturday Salvation 7

Lucky number seven! Hopefully more of you are starting to wake up now and can join in with today's Army of Stars Spectacular. We're up to 1974 already and our special guest is Lorne Greene, patriarch of The Ponderosa and space farer extraordinaire in Battlestar Galactica. Lorne left us with quite a bit of a Christmas legacy, but I think this small piece has been lost for a while. I'm excited to bring it back to you today. This is A Different Drummer (Army Of Stars, Quad, 1974). Another quad entry. Not sure if these are the first shares I've had that are in quad, I need to do some research. Looks like I may have shared a single track in quad during Christmas in July one time, but no albums. Cool, that means this is new ground for us.

    Lorne Greene, eh? Impressive.

    Jess Thomas was a well-known Wagnerian tenor.

      Greene did a surprising amount of Christmas music, from the Bonanza Christmas album to a solo effort, a nonLP single, some radio shows and now this.

      Buster, I read that as Wagnerian terror. Depending on one's taste in music, that could be an accurate statement.

    Well Ernie,
    As you mentioned these releases are getting better and better as the years advance. The story Lorne reads is very thoughtful.
    But who Lorne really is, I have only heard of him. I guess to the generation he entertained he was important. I really only know him from that song Ringo? That is good enough for me I guess.
