I've never heard of the Divine Charity order, not that that means anything. The record number (VN-102) suggests there was another record by the same Sister.
ReplyDeleteI assume the DC in FDC stands for Divine Charity, but what is the F?
DeletePer Wiki, "The Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Charity are an international congregation of Roman Catholic religious sisters. The motherhouse is in Vienna. The congregation uses the post-nominal 'FDC', from the Latin, Filiae Divinae Caritatis." Love that term "post-nominal."
DeleteGood old Latin...
DeleteMy generation may have been the last to study Latin in school. Back then, it was required. "Omnes Gallia est divisa in tres partes" and all that.
DeleteI took a semester of Latin in high school. Didn't like it...
DeleteI'm looking forward to being inspired by the disembodied voice of Sister Veronica!
ReplyDeleteA disembodied voice is better than a disembodied head...
DeleteThat's what my Grandma always used to say!
DeleteYou're grandma wasn't quite right, was she? ;)
Deletehehee Ernie, are you not the sly one.
ReplyDeleteThis is really that famous singer, everyone
secretly loves, Mrs Miller. But here she has either recorded this before becoming famous or after finally taking voice lessons.
All I could hear as I did my IKEA shopping was Mrs Miller for once in a good voice. Enough said.
Well, if you say so...
