Christmas In Cincy

I don't know why but I'm trying to overload you with Christmas music here on this first day of sharity. I don't like the idea of taking my time and slowly doling it out, I want to push out as much Christmas music as I can just as quick as I can. I'm sure some of you aren't even done with your Thanksgiving dinner yet, but here I am, chomping at the bit, ready to go, Go, GO! What can I share next? I've got so much stuff in the bin ready to go, it's hard to choose something. How about a bunch of songs from schoolchildren in Cincinnati? I've shared weirder stuff. This is Christmas Songs From Our Schools-A 1984 Cincinnati Christmas Album (The Central Trust Company CT102684RPW, Stereo, 1984). Look at that label with the hand-typed text. I guess 1984 was well before home computers and the publishing revolution that came with  them. Even in 1988 I headed off to college not with a laptop but with a new typewriter. I don't think I ever used it though. I spent hours writing whatever needed to be written in the computer labs, then printing them out on the shared laser printers. Those things probably cost more than a dollar a page to print at the time, but they were free for students. Somebody saved a lot of money by hand typing those labels you see and not having to send them to the typesetter.
