Getting hardcore here with a single song about Christmas in the country, the far out there country that may or may not see the everyday amenities like electric and water. This is
Brother Lee & The Lady Sher-Will Santa Come Out On The Rural Route (Sincerely Country 7" 45 RPM SCR 11875, Stereo, 1978).
MEGA
Hi Ernie, well, well, well...How bizarre can you get. It has to be a vanity single. Hold on to your copy, it might be one of only a handful that still exist. It was an interesting story, if only a proper singer sang it. On the other hand, could this have been a demonstration record? The singer is one half of the writers of this song. Maybe, this is how they hoped to sell it to a record label or an artist?
ReplyDeleteI know nothing more abut this than what you see on the label, but if I had to bet money, I'd say this was pressed by an artist as something to sell at concerts. Just a guess. And I bet someone somewhere still has a box full of them that never sold. :)
