The Last Recap

As I've now done for 2019, 2018 & 2017, here is a list of the stuff I shared out after Christmas in 2016 that you may have missed. This was my first year back to blogging after taking a few years off to try and spend Christmas with my girlfriend.  That worked out well, but she didn't, so I came back to the Christmas blogging world. Hopefully these shares are still there for your enjoyment (but you will need to look in the comments for a MEGA link, the other download links are long defunct). And don't forget I shared out a lot of music before Christmas in all these years, too, I'm just thinking a lot of people quit visiting after Christmas and thus missed these.

Lawrence Welk-Jingle Bells (Two versions, each with a different track!)
Seeburg Christmas Music Album (A handful of 45s, probably for BGM or jukebox play, not one of their demo LPs)
Muzak-Joy And Peace To You (The harder of the MUZAK Christmas albums to find, in my experience)
Paul Carson-Music For Christmas (Organ on cool red vinyl)
Earl Grant-Swingin' Christmas b/w Christmas Card (Possibly the best share of the year, and I didn't get it out until after the holiday, but that's how these things go)
Music Box Wonderland-Christmas With Rita Ford's Music Boxes (Because you need more music box music)
Hugo & Luigi With Their Children's Chorus-The Sound Of Children At Christmas (I had to huint long and hard for this one in stereo, I hope it was worth the hunt)
The Voices Of Walter Schumann-Christmas In The Air! (The other Walter Schumann Christmas album...)
Robert Rheims-Merry Christmas Carols-Organ And Chimes By Robert Rheims (Ten full inches of organ and chimes, for people who can't take the whole twelve inches)
Christmas Eve In The Cathedral (Part of a long series of Christmas music from the Westminster label)
Westminster Choraleers-Christmas At Home-Let's All Sing Carols (More from Westminster)
The Jim Cullum Jazz Band-'Tis The Season To Be Jammin'! (Some jazzy sounds)
Dr. Irma Glen-Christmas Miracles Now! (Now I'm betting you've never seen this one before!)
The Spitfire Band-Home For The Holidays (Another record you don't see everyday, and better than that last one)
Truman Capote Reading His A Christmas Memory From "Breakfast At Tiffany's" (In case you forgot that Breakfast At Tiffany's has a Christmas connection)

Tex Beneke And His Orchestra-Star Dust (Not really Christmas, but it was a Christmas gift from RCA Victor at one time)

And that's where the 2016 season left off in the first few days of 2017. Not as much as other years, but not too shabby.  Should be some good stuff in there, and new to you if you missed it the first time around.  Again, look in the comments, that's where the active download links should be. If not, lemme know and I'll repost what I can. Enjoy!

  5. Most accommodating and thoughtful. Many thanks!
I also scour the Internet Archive these days, but mostly for old Hawaiian music. I have made many such collections from their vast resources. Maybe a new blog?

  6. The world needs more bloggers, but I'm afraid it's a dying media. I'm afraid it's well past it's prime. I'm just an old dinosaur carrying on a tradition for a while longer.
