Tijuana Christmas In Canada

From the 2011 archives, this is a set of nice Tijuana Brass-style Christmas music that I'm told has been released under a lot of different names over the years.  On this particular record, there really wasn't an artist name, so I split the title in half and came up with Tijuana Style.  If you don't agree with that, feel free to put any artist name in there that you like.  My version is on the Canadian Arc label who also brought us the Christmas In A Pub album that I love to roll out each and every year.  This one is a little peppier than that one, and it doesn't feature drunk people singing.  This is Tijuana Style-Christmas Carols (Arc AC 34, Stereo). Oh, keep forgetting to mention it, but this one has been re-encoded for your listening pleasure.

1. The Holly And The Ivy
2. Silent Night
3. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
4. While Shepherds Watched
5. O Little Town Of Bethlehem
6. Good King Wenceslas
7. God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
8. Away In A Manger
9. The First Nowell
10. Christians Awake
11. Once In Royal David's City
12. O Come All Ye Faithful

  1. First, thank you for all this great Christmas music. I love listening to all this stuff, and your posts are unique and entertaining. Your enthusiasm and your work is appreciated, even it we don't say it often enough.

I found more information about this release here: https://www.discogs.com/The-Torero-Band-Christmas-Carols-Tijuana-Style/release/9475849

  2. There is only one budget Christmas Tijuana style album, just as there is only one budget children's Christmas album. Or so I imagine.

  3. Greetings from the UK. I'm a long-time fan of the site, but a first-time responder. This is terrific stuff and I was pleasantly delighted to recognise it as Christmas Party on KPM by Alan Moorhouse and the Soundstage Brass, albeit rebooted (resombreroed?)... Some further deets here: https://www.discogs.com/The-Sound-Stage-Brass-Christmas-Party/release/3289236. Am loving this year's deep dig in Santa's 78s crate btw.

  4. Neil-Thanks for the comment. I remember hearing that this was something that made the rounds under different titles. My memory isn't good enough to place a recording I've heard elsewhere, especially something that doesn't have catchy lyrics. :)
